We invest every year in R&D by different ways like funding study programs or participation in research projects

GeoExplorer invests in Research and Development (R&D) by different channels ranging from scholarship funding, PhD and research grants to participation in funded projects of organizations such as the Tuscany Region and the EU. Over the years many goals have been achieved that have allowed the development of an increasingly qualified-scientific staff and to direct our activities to the fields of greatest interest for universities and public administrations. Employing highly qualified personnel (mainly Research Doctors), we develops R&D activities by direct investments in research, calls, funded projects and scientific papers.

2022-2024

  • Co-financing of a grant for innovative doctorates under the PNRR – ex D.M. 630/2024, aimed at carrying out the research project “Machine learning techniques for environmental physics” – to be carried out within the PhD Course in Physics A.A. 2024/2025, 40th Cycle;
  • Co-financing of a grant for innovative doctorates under the PNRR pursuant to Ministerial Decree 117/2023, aimed at carrying out the research project “Integration of numerical modeling methods with machine learning techniques to support the management and sustainable exploitation of water resources” – to be carried out as part of the PhD Course in Physics A.Y. 2023/2024, 39th Cycle.

2020-2022

  • Renewal of the agreement for the joint laboratory called “Joint Research Laboratory for Geotechnologies applied to the environment – LCG“;
  • Funding of the research contract “Study of the fracturing systems of the Apuan Alps marble aimed at determining a reference system for geophysical investigations of the Georadar type and investigations of the subsoil by means of multi-parameter probes in the hole”;
  • Funding of the contract for a research project aimed at “developing an automated system of in situ natural radioactivity measurements”;
  • Co-financing of a grant for innovative doctorates in the amount referred to in art. 5, aimed at carrying out the research project “Machine Learning to support the acquisition and processing of geophysical data in the context of innovative processes applied to the environment and smart farming” to be carried out as part of the PhD Course in Physics A.Y. 2022/2023, 38th Cycle.

2017-2019
